Jerry McAdams

Jerry McAdams is one of the best known contemporary western artists in the country, especially in horse and ranching circles. His work has been featured on dozens of national magazine covers including The Cattleman, Gulf Coast Cattleman, America’s Cutter, Ruidoso and NCHA Sale Catalogs, as well as featured in Cowboys & Country, The Western Horseman, The Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and many other publications.

A native Texan, McAdams lives with his wife in Hico, Texas. After more than 30 years in the publishing business, McAdams’ art business has evolved from a lifelong hobby and sideline to a serious business. The popularity and demand for his unique and graphically bold western paintings have finally forced him to become a full time artist.

A 1973 graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in journalism, McAdams has won numerous writing, photography, and advertising art awards, including two National ADDY Awards from the American Federation of Advertising. His large scale paintings (36” x 48” is a typical size) are varied and sometimes whimsical, but maintain a photographer’s perspective in dramatic cropping and depth of field.

Working mainly in acrylics, his subjects range from contemporary scenes of horses, cattle, and ranches to portraits of family pets. His artwork has been marketed and exhibited on a limited basis for more than 35 years in the Southwest. His paintings hang at The University of Texas and in galleries and private collections from California to Wyoming to Illinois to Connecticut, Kansas, Florida, Canada, England, Australia, Germany and across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and the entire United States.

Tyler Crow

Tyler Crow has spent his young life in the small town of Apache, Oklahoma. A 2007 graduate of Apache High School, Tyler always had paper and pencil with him drawing horses. This childhood interest continued throughout his high school years. During his Senior year he entered a pencil drawing in the Oklahoma Youth Expo at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Winning Reserve Best of Show and a scholarship gave him a chance to attend a weeklong summer painting workshop co-taught by Bruce Greene and Martin Grelle.  This was the first time he had ever held a paintbrush in his hand.

Since their first meeting, Tyler has attended three more painting workshops co-taught by Greene and Grelle. In April 2011, Tyler attended his second Cowboy Artist workshop taught by Mr. Greene at the Scottsdale Artists School in Scottsdale, Arizona. In Tyler’s two most recent shows, Bosque Arts Classic and Small Works Great Wonders, he received the People’s Choice Award. His future plans are to continue studying art and work toward a career as a Western artist.

Debbie Smith
Touch of Art Pottery

Our dinnerware comes to your table from our studio in Hico, Texas. Many of our designs were inspired by the colors and textures of the Texas Hill country south of Hico, Texas. Each piece is handcrafted by Texas artisan, Debbie Smith, from high fired stoneware. Debbie Smith’s love for playing in the Texas Mud goes back to her childhood. Each piece is truly a work of art and hand-signed by the artist.

All of our dinnerware is made with lead free glazes and is microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. We pride ourselves in producing only high fired/high quality stoneware products, and control the entire process.

It starts with a simple ball of Texas clay. A touch of art takes shape in the Potter’s hand. Touch of Art Pottery turns mud into love.
