Originally used in a popular saloon in Dodge City, Kansas until 1960, this beautiful piece of history has served many faces and heard daring stories of the great American west.

Texas Steak Cookoff
Calling all steak connoisseurs – Mark your calenders for Hico’s Orginal Texas Steak Cookoff, happening Saturday, May 18th.
Make sure to book your stay for the whole weekend. Friday, May 17th at 6 p.m. the fun begins with the Cookoff Kickoff Party, in Historic Hico’s downtown. Start making memories with your family and friends while enjoying burgers and dancing the night away. Once you have recharged with a local coffee, we’ll see you at 10 a.m. as backyard chefs from all over the Southwest compete to see who grills the best steak in Texas. Come eat a steak, appetizers, and enjoy artisan vendors, local shopping and live music.
