Murals
Historic downtown Hico has several vintage (and new) hand painted murals that are great for capturing that perfect Instagram photo. There are also remnants of businesses from times past painted on many of the buildings downtown.

Hico City Park
Located along both sides of the Bosque River, the Hico City Park spreads across 43 acres and includes three covered pavilions, RV spaces, picnic areas, restrooms with shower facilities, a volleyball court, two playgrounds and a horseshoe area. It also includes over one mile of paved hike and bike trails along the tree-lined, north bank of the Bosque River, two baseball/softball fields, one T-ball/youth field, a large soccer field, a concession stand and an aquatic splash pad.

Bosque River
Just south of downtown lies the Bosque River, which runs through the City Park. There is a walking trail along the river, along with covered tables for that perfect picnic.

Billy the Kid Museum
The legend of Billy the Kid lives on at the Billy the Kid Museum in historic downtown Hico, Texas. Visit today to view artifacts and learn the history of Billy the Kid.

Billy the Kid statue
Sculpted by James Rice in 1987, the fiberglass statue of the infamous Billy the Kid sits downtown at the corner of Pecan Street and 2nd Street.

HICO sign
You put the “i” in Hico. Located in historic downtown Hico between Sugar Moon Antiques and the Wiseman House Chocolates studio is the Hico sign, perfect for taking photos with the whole family.

Hico Retrospective Museum in Blue Star Trading
Step in to Hico history at the Hico Retrospective Museum, upstairs in Blue Star Trading. Historical photographs, artifacts and more are on display. The museum also doubles as a space for hosting events.

Art in Blue Star Trading
Blue Star Trading is a Texas ranch outfitter with home decor, clothing, jewelry and art gallery. The art features paintings by local artist Jerry McAdams, as well as bronze sculptures by David Iles, and photography by Wyman Meinzer.

Art in Eis
Come for the food, stay for the art. Eis has sandwiches, salads, and ice cream, but the restaurant also doubles as an art gallery with art for purchase.

Peppermint Square
Located next to City Hall on West First Street, Peppermint Square includes a log cabin which was once home to some of Hico’s early settlers, a stage for outdoor concerts, and picnic tables for a picnic lunch.
