The 2020 Annual Texas Steak Cookoff and Wine Festival is CANCELLED.

The 2020 Annual Texas Steak Cookoff and Wine Festival in Hico, Texas is a one-of-a-kind experience. On the third Saturday each May, backyard chefs and professional chefs from all over the Southwest will compete for $2500 cash and the title of “The Best Steak in Texas”. Cookoff ticket holders can then have a steak prepared to order by the cook of their choice. And be sure to join us for live music, food vendors, shopping, appetizers, a corn hole tournament, and wine tasting.

Your purchase of a $25.00 Dinner ticket includes:

• A wristband that allows you to sample any of the Hors d’oeuvres being cooked by the chefs from 10:00 am to 1 pm or whenever they run out.
• A 12- ounce rib-eye steak dinner with all the fixin’s. The serving lines for the dinner open at 5:00 pm and you can select your favorite backyard chef to prepare your steak!
• A chance to win several door prizes offered throughout the day.

Wine Festival

The Wine Tasting Event at the 2020 Texas Steak Cookoff and Wine Festival will feature a wide variety of Texas wines, from sweet and fruity to dry and full-bodied. You’re invited to come, experiment, and see for yourself what has made Texas wineries so popular in recent years. No advance wine knowledge is required. Everybody (21 years or older) is invited to participate.
